We have a lovely support worker position with days and resting nights supporting our 25-year-old client. L has an acquired brain injury, but this does not get in the way of his enjoyment of different activities such as swimming, indoor skiing, football and trampolining, he loves being out and about and like any young man enjoys music. The Role/Client:
L lives with his parents and brother.
He has an acquired brain injury and is non-verbal. L is a full-time wheelchair user and has a peg feed for all meals. L also requires help with all aspects of daily living including personal care.
L has a lovely personality but can sometimes become frustrated and agitated, with the care of his familiar support team and family these unsettled periods are overcome. Parents remain involved with L’s care and provide ongoing support.
About You:
We are looking to recruit a person with a caring personality and willingness to learn and provide a high level of care and support for our client. Full training will be provided.
You will be an animal lover with no allergies as the family have 1 cat and a dog.
No smoking or vaping during a working shift.
You will provide a supportive, engaging approach to our client by following his care and therapy support plans,. You will be kind, positive, reliable, and able to build a relationship of trust with our client and family.
You do not need to be a driver for this role but must be able to show that you are able to get to shifts in a timely manner via other transport.
Statutory Sick pay if off work due to ill health. 6 months probationary period
Pay Rates:
£ 16 per hour Weekdays
£ 18 per hour Weekends
Bank Holidays time & half
Current Waking Night Shifts available, 9pm – 8am.
7 shifts per fortnight, working alternate weekends, shift pattern to be discussed at interview.
Day time induction shifts will be required before night shifts are commenced.

Additional shifts may become available when our client is on college holiday and to help cover team members on holiday.
