Job Title:       Buddy/Support Worker (P/T - Day)

Location:       Thornbury, South Gloucestershire (Near Bristol)

Shifts/          We mainly need cover for weekends, alternating between Saturday & Sunday

Hours:             11:00 am to 3:00 pm, there will also be the option for additional hours to cover

                             team members and also in school holidays.

                             We are flexible around hours - so please do apply, even if you can only work

                             some of these hours.

Pay:                   £14.69 per hour

The Role:

We are looking for a buddy/support worker for our 14-year-old client who lives at home with his parents, younger

sibling and cats.   He is a happy, cheerful boy with a great sense of humour who has Cerebral Palsy with right-sided weakness.  He can be unsteady but this does not restrict him from doing almost anything!  He has hearing difficulties (speech unaffected), minor learning difficulties and attends a mainstream school.  An active boy who loves going out, sport and participating in different activities, when you meet him you would scarcely notice his hearing or physical impairments and would instead be struck by his chattiness, humour and sense of fun. 

 

About You:

You will be a reliable, patient, happy person with a fun-loving personality who has a positive and empathetic attitude

to working with a child who has additional needs.  We are looking for someone who is flexible around the hours they work.  

You will enjoy taking our client out and encouraging his independence as well as building more social and leisure activities which you will join in with him.  You will have a good basic education and be able to assist with homework.

No personal care is required in this role.   The family have a friendly cat so you would be free from pet allergies.

 

 

A full, clean UK driver’s licence is essential as is your own vehicle (additional insurance premiums and fuel usage for work-related trips will be reimbursed).

An enhanced DBS certificate is a requirement, criminal convictions may not necessarily prevent employment.

Ref:               Oct20/FKR/JAL/PT DAY (PAUSED)

Job Title:       Day Support Worker

Location:       Bacup, Lancashire (Near Hebden Bridge)

Hours:           Flexible, F/T or P/T considered - up to 39 hours per week  

 

Shifts:           Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

                             Ideally also Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 11:00 am

 

                             This is a new post and the exact hours will evolve as the needs of our client develop. 

                             Extra hours may be available to cover for other team members.  We are looking

                             for candidates who are flexible around hours as these may vary when our

                             client returns to school next year.

Pay:                       £12.00 per hour for weekdays.  £13.00 per hour for weekends/bank                             holidays.

The Role:

We are looking for 1 full time or 2 part-time Support Workers to join our small home care team to care for a 12 year old with complex needs and cerebral palsy, in his family home, in permanent roles.  Our client is non-verbal and needs

total assistance with all aspects of daily living. 

 

Personal care is required, as well as implementing care and therapy plans and accurate record keeping.  Our client enjoys the company of cheerful, confident people with a positive outlook who are willing to learn about his needs and improve his quality of life.

About You:

Experience of working with children with physical and/or learning disabilities is desirable but more important is your aptitude and desire to work with a child with complex needs. Full support and training will be given.  

 

We are looking for people who can follow guidance as well as use their own initiative, you will be able to build a rapport with our client and his family.  Support Workers will be punctual and respectful of working in a family home environment. 

 

The family have a friendly dog.

Between Skipton & Bradford, WEST YORKSHIRE, BD16

 

Ref:               Oct20/FKR/08/Day/ HM MW

Job Title:       Female* Day Support Workers (2 x Positions available)

Location:       Bingley, West Yorkshire, BD16

Shifts:           Various days either 7:00 am to 4:00 pm / 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm / long shift 7:00 am

                             to 9:00 pm.  Need to be available to work every other weekend.  Rota is set two

                             months in advance.  Extra hours may be available to cover for other members of

                             the team.

Hours:              Hours per week: full time (37.5 hours per week) – three positions available

Pay:                         £10.40 per hour

The Role:

Are you interested in being a vital part of our expanding care team?  Our clients are two delightful young people in their twenties living in their lively family home with parents, younger siblings and pets.  They are both bright and cheerful and very much enjoy the company of others socialising in restaurants and cafes and participating in arts and crafts, watching films and football.  Both have Cerebral Palsy and complex physical disabilities and need complete assistance with all activities of daily living.  Both are non-verbal but are able to communicate their needs and requirements via other communication methods. 

Mainly working with another Support Worker, you will be well supported by an established core care team and will receive full training. 

About You:

You are a cheerful and positive individual with a good sense of humour.  We are looking for people who above all, want to ensure these two young people have days filled with happiness and fun whilst providing a high standard of care and support.

You are someone who has common sense and can use their initiative – a patient person who will support these two young people and allow them the time and space to express their own thoughts, wishes and personality.

POULTON-LE-FYLDE (NEAR BLACKPOOL), LANCASHIRE (PAUSED)

Job Title:    Night Support Worker

Location:    Poulton-le-Fylde (near Blackpool), Lancashire

Shifts:         40 hours per week from 10 pm to 8 am.  4 waking nights each week

                   Four week rolling rota will be in place - no Saturday night working required.

Pay:            £12.00 per hour weekdays. £13.00 per hour weekends/bank holidays

The Role:

We are looking for two Night Support Workers to join our small home care team to care for a delightfully bright 6-year-old

boy with Cerebral Palsy and associated complex needs in his family  home in a permanent role. 

 

Our client is non-verbal but able to vocalize and communicate his wishes.  Personal care is required, implementing care

and therapy plans and accurate record keeping.  You will carry out his evening routine to get him ready for sleep, monitor him during the night specifically in regard to epilepsy and postural management and get him ready for his day the next morning. 

 

Some cleaning and household tasks are also required and you must be comfortable around animals as the family have a small dog and a cat.

 

The Rota:

 

  • 40 hours per week from 10 pm to 8 am.  4 waking nights each week.

  • Four week rolling rota will be in place - no Saturday night working required.

  • Sample Rota - Week 1 –Tues to Fri night, Week 2 – Mon to Thurs night, Week 3 & 4 – Sun to Wed night.

  • Extra hours may be available to cover for other members of the team.

About You:
